Management: Rear Mounted Chopper Gang
The Rear Mount Chopper Gang Attachment could be
the perfect finishing tool to add to your tillage operation to
leave soil in a level, firm condition. Tension may be set with
heavy spring screw jacks to create a variety of finishes. Light
tension leaves soil in a cross hatched type finish with some of
the available residue for coverage. Heavy tension pulverizes soil
and clods, with maximum firming and mixing of soil and stalks.
The Rear Mount Chopper Gang Attachment prepares a seedbed in the
same pass as primary tillage in order to save passes throught the
field.
Standard Features
- Frame mounting arms are available
for virtually any application. Modular mount makes the
most of available space on the desired frame and spreads
the weight load between two frame members. Frame mount
tubes in two lengths to complement close coupled chopper
attachment (developed for shear bolt Paratill®) or leave space to allow for rear trip of
tillage shanks (developed for mechanical trip Paratill®).
- Heavy pivot bracket is equipped with
bronze bushings. Sleeve on bracket is equipped with a
grease zerk.
- Upper screw jack features
1-1/4" threaded rod. Screw jack, trunnion and
spacers are plated for rust prevention. Heavy spring may
be adjusted for maximum chopper penetration while
protecting unit from obstructions or uneven terrain.
- Chopper mount bar is constructed
from 4x4x1/4" tube. Chopper bar frames are available
in 7'4" and 6' widths to complement variable tillage
tool widths.
- Heavy flange bearings are equipped
on each chopper. Inserts are triple sealed greaseable
ball bearings on 1-1/2" axle shafts.
- Heavy choppers have been designed to
withstand abusive soil and operating conditions. Beveled
chopper blades are supported by the spider weldment ring
and buttons welded to each blade support. Five and six
blade reels are combined on each gang attachment to
reduce vibration during operation.
