Hood Fender
The Bigham Brothers
Hood Fender will let you cultivate your crop while small
and tender. This offers your young crop protection while
allowing early cultivation at high speeds. The fender can
be set completely on the ground for maximum protection or
can be raised approximately 1" above the ground to
push soil in around the roots of small plants without
covering the tops.

Hood Fenders include 30" hood, pivot lugs, pivot bolts, upper shank and tool bar clamp as indicated.
Knifing Attachment for 1x3" Shank
Equip
any 1x3" cultivator shank with cultivator knives. This
procedure will cut and scour bed sides for positive weed removal.
This tool can be used with Bigham Brothers 12" Offset Rod
Weeder for pre-plant bed conditioning.

Knifing attachments include knife bracket, two 1/2x2-1/2" mounting bolts with nuts, lockwashers and 5/8" set screw. Sweep, shank and knives are pictured but not included.
Cultivating Ripper Shank Attachment
Mount the 1x3" height adjustable shank to
penetrate middles and inter-row rip in the same pass as
cultivation. Shank is cut from Formalloy material for abrasion
resistance. Leading edge of shank is scarfed to reduce drag.
Chromium carbide point has a long life even under abrasive
conditions. Height adjustment feature makes this a perfect
cultivator mounting option for a row crop reservoir tool like the
Prop or a traditional diker.

Cultivating Disc Coulters
| Trash cutting coulters are the key to cultivator performance in high residue conditions. Disc coulters will slice trash in line with a sweep or shovel. Bigham Brothers offers a selection of rigid tool bar mount coulters for virtually any cultivation application. Straight 1x3 mounting is simple and economical. Rear offset coulter mount increases trash clearance and height adjustment. Rigid coulters placed in each middle of a cultivator also serve to stabilize the unit for three point guidance applications. Tool Bar mounting clamps are available for any size tool bar. |  |

Cultivating disc coulters include arm and hub as indicated, 20" fluted blade and 4x4 clamp assembly. Other blade and clamp sizes are available. Note: Rigid coulters may be subject to failure under normal conditions. Bigham Brothers does not cover rigid coulters under product warranty.
