Seedbed Planting Preparation: Disc Bedder

The Bigham Brothers Disc Bedder pulls lighter and can be operated at higher speeds than conventional buster type listers. This Bedder creates uniform rows with less clodding or slabbing in virtually all soil types at speeds up to 6 or 7 mph. Component design allows adjustment of gangs to virtually any row width. Gangs can be set for opposed bedding for higher more pointed beds or staggered bedding for lower more rounded beds. Conversions can be made in the field with no extra parts required. Heavy diamond mast tool bar (Superbar II) and heavy duty category III wide hitch are standard equipment on all models.

Heavy disk gangs feature three bearings per housing, 20" 6 ga. 18" 7 ga. fluted blades. Height adjustable feature lets you set units deeper behind the tractor tires on stale seedbed rows.

Standard Features:

• Each gang half is independently height adjustable. 1" x 3" standards are cut from H-5160 heat treated spring steel.
• Gang angle is pre-set, with no adjustment necessary.
• Fluted blades provide precision ground engagement, shed sticky soils and help prevent slabbing. 20" 6 ga. and 18" 7 ga. disk blades are thicker and made with quality cross-rolled boron steel for longer life.
• Housing on each gang contains three triple-sealed permanently lubricated ball bearings.
• Scrapers are included with all whole goods.

Optional Features:

The Disc Bedder comes in several standard configurations. Options can be added to the Disc Bedder, including stabilizers, row markers, gauge wheels and bed toppers.
