Folding Toolbars

The Bigham Brothers Direct Fold Tool Bar has been developed to satisfy the need for a durable folding tool bar that will stay in the field. Simplicity of design reduces moving parts and wear points. Tool bars are available for practically any use.

Standard Features:

	4 x 48" Hydraulic cylinder provides capacity to lift any wing load with reduced operating pressure. Wings fold up and cylinder locks into closed position for positive transport. There are only two wear points on the folding mechanism.
	Diamond mast design is enhanced by one piece stringer plates (braces) cut from solid 5/8" plate. This design also centers cylinder and lifting lug between the bars of the wing. All tool bars are welded using flux core wire to eliminate cracking in or around each weld.
	Heavy duty hinge incorporates 14 hinge ears per side on the double bar frame (21 per side on triple bar frames). Ears are cut from 1" plate. Hinge pins are a full 1-7/16" in diameter.

Eyebolt adjusting kit for wing lift lug is standard equipment on all tool bars. Linkage may be adjusted so that wing will not float past the flat position. Transport lock is standard equipment on most tool bars. This safety measure could prevent injury or equipment damage while transporting the implement from one field to the next.

Custom Order Folding Tool Bars

Bigham Brothers can build a folding tool bar for virtually any application. These are examples of custom folding frames which have been built according to each customer's specifications for specific needs. Please call for a quote or specifications on any type of folding tool bar.

Left: Lister has been designed with a double hinge for a single 5 x 7" bar. Spreading hinge points from front to back increases hinge stability while keeping weight and clearance toward the tractor.

Right: Special boxes have been added to the frame to accommodate flat fold markers. Placing markers outboard and forward spaces the outside arm and disc to prevent collision with the center section of the tool bar.

Left: wings fold over center approximately 60 degrees for narrow transport at minimum height. This frame features 2" hinge pins and frame stands to support wings during transport.

Right and Below: Stack fold frame keeps transport width to an absolute minimum. Eight row 38" spaced equipment may be reduced for 28' field working width to slightly over 16' overall transport width. The unit pictured is an eight row Stack Fold Frame for a PrepMaster^®.
