Rigid Frame Strip Till

Produce a controlled crop environment by tilling, applying fertilizer and preparing a seedbed in one trip with the Bigham Brothers Rigid Frame Strip Tillage Tool. Companion to our Super Duty Strip Till, this tool is perfect for operations on circles and contours. It gives you the advantages of precision applied tillage zones to remove compaction and hardpan, while leaving traffic zones firm. Our Strip Tillage Tool also concentrates tillage in a specific area to leave protective residue strips intact in a reduced tillage crop environment.

Bigham Brothers Strip Tillage Tool tills the soil for better crop growing conditions and increased water holding capacity, firms and prepares seedbeds for optimum planting results and allows for placement of fertilizer and herbicides. This tool was designed to comply with federal conservation guidelines while providing the advantages of combined field operations to reduce field trips.

Equipment Features:

• Heavy Diamond Mast Frame may be custom built for your row spacing and specific component arrangement. Standard eight and twelve row tools are available on rigid frames. Twelve and sixteen row standard units are equipped with folding frames. Cat. III hitches and XHD gauge wheels are included with all whole goods.
• Spring Loaded Swivel Coulters with 20” fluted blades each have up to 1200 pounds of residue slicing pressure and let you guide the plow in extreme side draft conditions such as contours and circles under center pivots.
• Heavy duty precision row cleaners move residue away from the seedbed.
• Selection of tillage shanks till the crop root zone and apply fertilizer at an accurate depth.
• Tillage Discs form a berm or seedbed behind the fertilizer knife.
• Rear Bed Conditioner baskets firm the tillage zone and prepare the seedbed.

Strip Till Tooling Features

Front Swivel Coulter: Hinge and spring assembly provide up to 1200 pounds of residue slicing pressure. Strong ductile cast pivot body is equipped with grease zerks for vertical and horizontal pivots. Available with 20” and 17” fluted blades.	Super Duty Row Cleaner: New notched blades clear residue in front of the tillage shank. Heavy duty hubs with two disc bedder bearings stand up to tough soil conditions.	Rear Basket: Largest diameter basket on the market. Basket weldment features 1-1/2” shaft and flange bearings with triple lip seals. Seals moisture, breaks up clods and prepares the seedbed.
XHD Gauge Wheels: Keep the load off your draft and your working depth consistent. Mount bracket is made from heavy 3/4” plate steel and wraps almost completely around the tool bar. The arm is made from 4x4” 1/4 inch steel tubing. Hub, Spindle and wheel assembly is rated at 3500 pounds capacity, singles, and 7000 pounds, duals. The screw jack has 1-1/4” Acme thread screws. All adjusting parts are plated for rust prevention.	Tillage Shank Options: Wide variety of shanks to match your tillage and application requirements. J-Till™ angled-leg shank provides maximum tillage and sets off the row center to prevent slotting. 1x4” Ripper shank for tillage under the row. Mole knives are available with standard wear cap items and optional heavy duty caps and tube protector shins. Exclusive ‘trash flow’ knives with unitized shanks.	Rear Tillage Discs: Choose the disc option that matches your Strip Till preference. Penetrate the tillage zone, create a berm or use disc bedders to throw up a bed. Tillage discs are mounted on flat shanks with a positive hexagon angle adjustment feature. Each blade is adjustable vertically and laterally on the tool bar.
